To begin this project of turning a 900RR into a 954, we came up with a concept which would change this bike forever! Once you do this, there is no going back to a stock 900RR. This involves a lot of cutting, grinding, and welding to accomplish.
And now that we know the ins-and-outs to make this possible, we're experts at knowing the various dimensions and measurements that will turn your 900RR into a 954 - from the tail, to the wheels, to the rotors, WE'VE DONE IT!
The new undertail kit
Welding and fabricating a new front axle so the 954 wheels and F4i rotors fit without a glitch!
Color: Purple Plum Irridescent with a "red to gold" color changing flake laying inside of the clear coat.
Graphics airbrushed by Mike McManus - one of the GREATEST (most underrated) artists out there!
Clear 954 tail light (which must be re-wired due to the negative grounding variance).
The front seat is from a 900RR, while the rear seat is from a 954.
The front rotors are chrome-plated and were taken from an F4i.
The 17" 954 front wheel is painted jet black with silver flakes in the clear coat.
The 954 rear wheel is painted charcoal black (to match the end of the tail fairing) with only clear.
The wheels were put on by boring out the front and rear axle holes (954 axles are WIDER than 900RR axles.) The rear brake caliper has a few points that must be grinded down in order for the rotor to be free, also.

subframe
is about 5" shorter now.
All of these metal shavings cannot be put back onto the bike - it's a DONE DEAL! Boring out the axle ports require a HAMMER DRILL and a 1" bit, which is very HARD to find!
